National insulation specialist, Miller Pattison, has invested £900k in a bid to expand its services and increase efficiency.

The firm has purchased 5 bespoke vehicles and now offers Springvale Ecobead Platinum cavity wall insulation to its new build customers.

Each van carries enough polystyrene to insulate six medium-sized detached houses. The product is installed to new builds internally prior to dry lining and the process can be completed in half a day with no waste or need for onsite storage.

The investment follows on from Miller Pattison’s recent purchase of 18 vehicles for the supply of Knauf Supafil blown mineral fibre cavity wall insulation which provides similar benefits.

The firm’s fleet now stands at more than 70 with plans to replace a further 35 vehicles, ultimately creating the most up-to-date line up that can support delivery of class leading service levels.

Alex McLeod, managing director at Miller Pattison, said: “Our investments reflect the growing demand for our services from the new build housing market. The new vehicles will enhance our ability to meet changing requirements of our customers and deliver excellent service nationwide.”
